I have several questions, answer as many as you want.

1.any info on star road 2? Maybe ideas for levels?

2.ive always wanted to make a rom hack, but don't want to buy expensive programs like sketchup. Do you know of any easy ways to make one (new levels)?

3.how do you plan your levels? Do you sketch them on paper, or do you just go in and see what comes out?

4.is there anything you have wanted to do, but sm64 is only so powerful, so you couldn't do it?

You don't need the pro version of sketchup to export OBJ files. For the free old versions you can use an OBJ exporter plugin and the newer free versions support OBJ exporting natively. (OBJ being the format required for the SM64 level importer)
