That's fascinating MRKane! Thanks for explaining how you do it! If you get Banjo working well, I was thinking that it'd be cool to have lots of BK64 characters (I thought Mumbo would be a fun player too Smile ), and then down the line it'd be fun to have a Banjo themed level or something. Unfortunately my laptop isn't working quite right at the moment so I can't give making my own kart a try. Smile

I was thinking it'd be cool to get some more "bad" characters (as I've mostly done heroes) say...Gruntilda. When you get your laptop up and running have a peek at the Blender file - please don't hesitate to contact me if things are a little vague, it's not setup in the most intuitive of ways but I'm big on learning and would love to see things that other people create.

Personally I'd like to make more battle stages. Mario Kart gets played weekly at my place (despite having all sorts of other consoles and microcomputers etc.) because it's just a great game!

8 new characters with mini-portraits :

Thanks for doing the requests MrKane! i thought your name looked Familiar from the ShootersForever Boards haha. I will have to check out your blend file Smile The Banjo Model definitely fits in with the other MK64 models

Just need to figure out the Audio Confused why its high pitched when injected in game i have no clue

zouzzz: that is outstanding!Top marks on the mini-portraits too - it's something that I couldn't wrap into the kart files so have never done myself! I'd be inclined to classify that compiling of work you've done as being worth of a patch release Big Grin

SoulStorm64: I'm rusty when it comes to N64 audio, but my first guess there would be the sampling rate of the audio you're trying to replace it with - for whatever reason it appears to be getting jumbled somewhere. In saying that perhaps check the sample rate of audio you pull out of the Mario Kart rom with the audio you're trying to replace it with. I really must apologise as I can't help you due to my computers being either Mac or Linux so I can't use the necessary programmes unless I wait for a spare Windows machine at my work.

oh yeah I've tried that with the Sonic Kart Sprite but even then it still gets jumbled when importing, this test was just trying sounds directly from DKR to see if a sound directly from another n64 game rather than making them from youtube videos would work

*Edit* I've got some good results with Banjos Audio and will post more tomorrow Smile

Nice Mini Portraits Zouzzz! sadly I keep getting a error saying the image is too big to be imported even though they aren't Confused

I've figured out how to get the sound effects to be at a normal level in-game, it took a lot of messing around but this is how it turned out.

really nicely done, with the picture problem, what size is the file and the quality of the picture? maybe that's the issue

also will you make a hack that lets you make your own vehicle and parts with banjo?

I would be like, super happy if you could release a patch with only banjo added if possible. That would be amazing.
