i didnt count, but usually atleast 3 new ones per level, so we are somewhere around 60

Just wanted to come here and say I'm loving Last Impact so far. It's probably the best SM64 rom hack I've ever played. Even though not many people can reprogram the game using MIPS, it should definitely be the standard in terms of level design. Many of the courses & how each star mission is laid out inspired me.

Especially that moon base level. Fucking epic. So glad my name is in the credits, even if it's just for a random graphical thing I did.

Found a glitch. By jumping on the stairs to the rocket you can clip out of bounds and go to the level with less than 15 stars
