You have to import the .karts files into Pitstop and then export the rom.

For online play, i use Mupen64++ and works fine. http://mupen64k.blogspot.it/

The trick here is the audio bitrate as N64 games tend to be very hard-coded, but that's nothing that free audio software cannot fix.

I can't Undecided.
I tried to replace the voices of Wario by Waluigi ( http://origami64.net/showthread.php?tid=456&pid=7873#pid7873 Download link), the rom looses sounds or some sounds are replaced by others.

Online play with a friend.

Excellent ! Cool

Have you got the sounds ?

Sounds are imported from Wiggler's voice (Mario Kart 7).
And get modified with Audacity. With some special effects the game applies itself (if you replace the DK's sounds).

I'll edit the zip file with sounds + miniportrait.

This tool is great! This is my first attempt to mod a game, I just downloaded it and was messing around with some F Zero sprites. I need to read up on replacing the sound files for Mario and my miniportrait is messed up so I need to fix that. Also for some reason it crashes after beating all four races during awards ceremony animation, as soon as it goes to show the victory animation it crashes. Any thoughts?

You need to patch the rom. Read here: http://origami64.net/showthread.php?tid=456&pid=8507#pid8507

Also, good work with Falcon.

Awesome thanks!

Hey y'all, posted up a new version of Pitstop just now on the first post of the thread (0.0.5.2). Using that, you no longer need to use the Patcher to fix the post-race crashing bug, it'll already be handled. So now this way the text names for your karts can be maintained.

And I put up some developer notes on the first page too. The TL;DR is that I'm officially putting Pitstop64 work on hiatus while I work on queueRAM's N64Split so that I can use that as the basis for the next iteration of the MK64 editing software. It'll probably look the same, but relying on N64Split instead of my Cereal64 library should make things easier on the backend.

I can still handle bugfixes if you need them, but don't expect new features for a while. as if I haven't said that before

I would like that pistop or some other program could create patches to then apply them and that people can upload their patches and this way everyone can test the work of others and above all that would allow patch patches already patched in case people wants to keep adding things in the future. is it possible to add any such feature to your mib_f8sm9c program?

I can make this a long-term goal, it wouldn't be hard to do so. Only problem with patches is that you can't use multiple at once. I think currently ppf patches are what you're describing: https://www.smwcentral.net/?p=viewthread&t=73147

Very glad to hear the update! I'll have to wish you the best of luck as you're well above my league!

And remember, if you want a coffee...Wink

Thanks mib_f8sm9c for the update.

Great job mib_f8sm9c !
